Hazel Kadzis

Hazel Jeanette Kadzis, 79, of Colonial Heights, passed away on April 21, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Hubert and Carrie E. Moulton McCart, and was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Kadzis and a son, Dr. George J. Kadzis. Mrs. Kadzis was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the DAV, and a former member of the Officers Women's Club at Fort Lee. She is survived by her two sons, Wayne Usina of Florida, and Arlington "Joseph" Kadzis and wife Pat of Texas; two daughters, Cynthia Defoe of Florida, and Gigi Jeanette Roberts and husband Greg of the Bahamas; eighteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack McCart and Jessie McCart both of Alabama; a sister, Sarah Hanson of New Mexico; three sisters-in-law, Mildred Whelly of New York, Frances Diartolomeo of New York, and Mary Kristie and husband, Walt of South Carolina. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Father Lou Ruoff officiating.
