Helen Frith

Helen Anthony Frith, 89, of Chester, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at her residence. Born in Richmond, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Lilly Mae Anthony, and the widow of Woodrow W. Frith Sr. Mrs. Frith was a member of Chester Baptist Church, where she was on the Kitchen Committee for over 20 years. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca F. Rice (Russell) of Mechanicsville and Brenda F. Miller (Ronald) of Chester; two sons, John A. Frith (Deborah) Chester and Woodrow W. Frith Jr. (Lorraine) of McDowell, Virginia; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara A. Castleberry of Chester. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Chester Baptist Church, 4317 School Street, Chester, Virginia 23831 with Dr. Lloyd Braswell officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Crater Community Hospice.
