Helen Keeton, 74, ended her protracted battle with cancer on Thursday, July 14, 2016, to join her parents, Frank and Lena Gough and her beloved sister, Shirley Newby Jefferson in their heavenly home. Fulfilling her wishes, she passed at home peacefully, surrounded by the love of her husband of 31 years, Forrest Henry Keeton, daughter, Felicia Berger Smith, and son-in-law, Raymond Smith. Remaining to cherish her memory is her lifelong friend, Grethel Hershey, other close friends and extended family, the ladies at Cut-ups Salon, the Saturday morning Weight Watchers meeting, friends at Sherbourne Methodist Church, neighbors and colleagues from Chippenham Hospital Operating Room where she proudly worked and retired after 30 years. She will be missed. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia, with the Reverend Pam Culler officiating. The family would like to extend an invitation to those attending the service to come early for fellowship. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
