Helen Stanley

Helen F. Stanley, 92, of Petersburg, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Leroy H. and Molly Traylor Farmer. Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Stanley; and a sister, Alice Farmer. Mrs. Stanley was the owner of Stanley Florist in Petersburg, and a lifetime member of the Burlington Garden Club of Petersburg. She is survived by her daughter, LeAnn Stanley Binger and husband, Roy of Petersburg; two grandsons, John Andrew (Drew) Copeland Jr. of Prince George, and Raymond E. (Tres) Spain III of Ferrum; a great-granddaughter, Erin Copeland of Petersburg. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Rev. Carl Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
