Helen Temple

Helen Brockwell Temple, 92, of Colonial Heights, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Richard Ernest and Maggie Andrews Brockwell, and was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Temple Jr., five brothers, and one sister. Mrs. Temple retired after many years of service from Titmus Optical was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her son, W. Douglas Temple and wife, Janet of Colonial Heights; a daughter, Patricia Partin and husband, Tommy of Mechanicsville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Lila Brockwell of South Carolina, and Katherine Brockwell of Dinwiddie. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Reverend Donna Mott officiating. Friends are welcome to pay their respects to Mrs. Temple on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
