Henry Hogue Jr.

Henry Clay Hogue Jr.,76, of Sutherland, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Southside Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Petersburg to the late Henry Clay Hogue Sr. and Edith Dance Hogue.  Henry was a retired Lab Technician from Honeywell and was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn S. Hogue; brothers, Marvin Hogue of Colonial Heights and David Wayne Hogue (Becky) of New Kent; sister, Patricia “Patsy” Hogue Poole (Michael) of Colonial Heights; special niece, Tracey Newsom (Marty) of Chesterfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Western Heights Baptist Church, 24416 Cox Road Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with the Reverend Jonathan Dundalow officiating.   Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Western Heights Baptist Church.
