Henry Pleasants

Henry Elbert Pleasants, 87, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. He was the son of the late Curtis P. and Lottie Rosback Pleasants, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Marion Rowe Pleasants. Mr. Pleasants was a member of Colonial Christian Church, a veteran with the United States Navy and United States Air Force, and a retired Installer with C&P Telephone (Verizon). He is survived by his wife, Laura Crostic Pleasants; sons, Henry E. Pleasants Jr. of Sandston and Kenneth W. Pleasants of Richmond; a daughter, Cheri Mohler of Glen Allen; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Curtis Pride Pleasants of Highland Springs; two step-children, James H. Irving and Judith Warren Gindhart; several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in Colonial Christian Church, 295 Dunlop Farms Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Henry Butler and the Reverend Derrick Parson officiating. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday at church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Colonial Christian Church or the Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Cox Road, #130, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
