Herbert Clements Sr.

Herbert L. "Herb" Clements Sr., 81, of Matoaca passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 after a long period of declining health. He was born May 6, 1936 in Nelson County, Virginia to the late Lewis T. and Margaret E. Clements and was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Carter and granddaughter, Amy Cornett. He was the owner and operator of Herb Clements Heating and A/C until his retirement in 1999. He loved crappie fishing with his wife Peggy and rabbit hunting with his family and friends. Herb is survived by his loving and caregiving wife of 60 years, "Peggy" Clements; daughter, Pam (Butch); son, H.L. (Dinky); granddaughters, Angela (Tony), Brittany (Andrew); "favorite" grandson, Brent (Sabrinia); sisters, Pat Pugh, Nellie Pugh, Margaret (Richard) Napier, Gladys Andrews; and six great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 17, 2018, at East Matoaca Cemetery, 21576 Memorial Ave, Petersburg, Virginia 23803.
