Holman P. Britt, 77, of Disputanta passed away on December 3, 2011 at MCV-VCU Hospitals in Richmond. He was born in Southampton, Virginia and was the son of the late Hubert Dillard and Susie Hortense Fowler Britt. He was an employee of Sherwin-Williams for 51 years. He is a former President and member of the Petersburg Retail Merchants Association, former member of the Southside Home Builders Association, served in the VA National Guard for 12 years, member of the Blandford Masonic Lodge #3 since 1962, member of the Petersburg Shriners and was the former President and current Chaplain, member of the ACCA Shrine Center in Richmond since June 1966. He was a member of the Disputanta Ruritan club for 40 years and the former President and governor of his district, member of the Prince George County Board of Zoning Appeals since January 1982, former volunteer fireman with the Disputanta Fire Dept. and a member of the Antique Car Club. He loved his Red Angus cows, gardening and restoring antique tractors. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Kathryn West Britt, two daughters; Kathryn Britt Hayes and husband, Larry J. of Disputanta and Annette Britt Kortokrax and husband, Kevin N. of Johns Creek, GA.; four grandchildren, Joseph Britt Hayes and wife, Erin D., Adam H. Hayes and girlfriend Michelle Noland, Brittany Lauren Kortokrax and Matthew Ryan Kortokrax. He is also survived by his sisters; Adelle Hazzard of Florida, Emily Perry of Chesapeake, VA and Catherine Eure of Suffolk, VA.; brothers; Junius Britt and Thomas Britt both of Suffolk, VA. and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 10021 County Drive, Disputanta, VA with Pastor Bob Blinn officiating. A Masonic Service and Entombment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The visitation will be Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA.
