Horace Weaver

Horace Claiborne Weaver, 90, of Chester passed away quietly in his sleep at home on Monday, June 15, 2015. He was born June 1, 1925 in Chesterfield, Virginia. He served his country from 1950-1956 in the US Army. He married Ida Estelle Atkins in 1952, who passed in 1986. He married Mary Yeatts Dennis in 1988, who passed in 2011. He is survived by his four sons Wayne (Kathy), Mike (Sherry), Bruce (Debbie) and Rick (Yoly); two step-sons Doug (Kay) and Bobby (Darline); one step son-in-law, Bernard Mayton; 14 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Harrowgate Worship Center, 13811 Harrowgate Road, Chester, Virginia 23831 with the Reverend Lyndon Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
