Ida Thomasson

Ida Powell Thomasson, 84, of Dinwiddie County, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Nannie Williamson Powell, and the widow of Elwood T. Thomasson. Mrs. Thomasson was a longtime member of Shiloh Baptist Church, and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She is survived by her four sons, Charles E., George T., Ronald A., and Nelton W. Thomasson; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Powell; and numerous nieces & nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3512 Virginia St, Hopewell, Virginia 23860. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
