Indie Petree

Indie Alise Petree, 97, of Ettrick, Virginia peacefully went to be with her Lord on October 4 ^, 2020, in Chesterfield, Virginia.

Indie was born in Ettrick to Alger Turner and Ruth Cumbia - Turner on September 18, 1923. She went to high school at Petersburg High School and went on in life to work for the federal government as an operator moving on to allied chemical, she retired as a federal employee. She attended Woodlawn Baptist church and enjoyed fishing, knitting, playing bingo, baking, playing cards, driving fast and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Indie is survived by her children, Ruth Carolyn Petree Labbe (Jim Labbe (deceased)), John Carlton Petree Jr. (Judy Petree), Kenny Elbert Petree (Jeanette Petree), and Robbi Jane Petree Daniels (Thomas Mount); 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 9 great- great-grandchildren; beloved Paula Williams and friend, Margaret Vest.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Kingsland Baptist Church, 8801 Perrymont Road, Richmond, Virginia 23237 with Pastor Pat Fiordelise officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
