Ivene Johnson

Ivene S. Johnson, 88, of Colonial Heights passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Dallas and Rachel Hammond Shannon and the widow of George L. Johnson Jr. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Robert L. Johnson and wife Elizabeth of Chester, William E. Johnson and wife Dorrie of Colonial Heights; two brothers, James Shannon of Nashville, Tennessee, Noah Shannon of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; sister, Luthene Wilkins of Orange County California; grandchildren, Matthew S. Johnson of San Marcos, Texas, Carly Patterson of Anderson South Carolina, Dara Moore of Colonial Heights. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 in Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia with the Reverend Curtis Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard 23834.
