J. Busby

J. Lee Busby, 82, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Journey's Way Hospice Center. A native of Alabama, he was the son of the late Henry and Molly Gallahar Busby. He was a veteran with the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He attended the Tabernacle Baptist Institute in Greenville, South Carolina, and served many pastorates including, Calvary Baptist Church in Bowling Green, South Carolina, Faith Baptist Church in Colonial Heights, assistant pastor in New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Hopewell, and a current member of Buford Road Baptist Church, in North Chesterfield. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette C. Busby; daughters, Teresa Lee Cogle and husband, David of Colonial Heights and Angelah Lee Jarratt and fiancé; Marti Smith of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, Davidah Lee Cogle-Carson and husband, Tommy of Fredericksburg, Brittney Jordyn Cogle and fiancé, Jonathan Mason of Colonial Heights, Victoria Danielle Cogle of Colonial Heights, Jerikah Lee Jarratt and special fiance, Jeremy Weaver, of Chesterfield Zackery Busby Jarratt, and Cody Blake Jarratt of Colonial Heights Funeral services will be private.
