Jack Jones

Jack A. Jones 67, of Matoaca went to be with the Lord, Wednesday November 30, 2011. He was the son of the late Edward and Mildred Turner Jones. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Jones, and a sister, Shirley Jones Slusher. Mr. Jones was a United States Navy Veteran, and a millwright with Local 1402, and a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn "Baby Doll" Jones; daughters, Angela Jones Andrews, Jackie Jones Cabaniss and husband, Chip, and Suzee Jones Ward and husband, Shannon; step-children, Renee Collier and husband, Pat, and Rodney Elmore; grandchildren, Michael Simonson Jr., Christopher Jack Simonson, Erica Andrews Peterson, Cody Barron, Kristina Cabaniss, Craig Cabaniss, Dustin Jones, Taylor Ward, Mitch Richmond, Matthew Richmond, Marilyn Richmond, and Dakota Collier; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2011 in the Calvary Baptist Church, 17001 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with the Reverend Dr. Ray Haskett officiating. Interment Blandford Cemetery Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to the Bus Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church.
