Jacob Herman Brandt

Jacob Herman Brandt, 63, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023. He was born on July 13, 1959, in Texas to the late Masuko Y. Brandt and Johnnie A. Brandt. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gloria J. Stark, and brother, Ronnie J. Brandt.

Jacob dedicated an impressive 43 years of his life to Dominion Energy in Power Generation, starting as a Power Station Operator and working his way up to become a Senior Instructor. His passion for his job was recognizable, and his commitment to his work was an inspiration to his colleagues. Jacob was respected by all those who had the opportunity of working with him. He had a passion for golf and sports and was always up for a friendly competition. He loved to discuss his political beliefs openly and was known for his passionate views.

Jacob’s memory will live on through his daughter, Amanda Faith Brandt (Baby Love); granddaughter, KyLeigh Hope Ramos; grandsons, Leonardo and Lucas Allen; sisters, Sandra Rodeback, Alice Williams, Rose Moore, and Nancy Brandt; brothers, Robert Brandt, Carl Brandt, Thomas Brandt, and John Brandt; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and in-laws.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
