James Bartholomew Sr

James Raymond Bartholomew Sr., 63, of Chesterfield, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019. He was born on March 10, 1956, to the late Raymond and Mary Schaefer. Mr. Bartholomew was a member of New Life Outreach Church, an avid bike rider, and a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, where he served his country for 11 years. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Bartholomew; children, James Raymond Bartholomew Jr. (Jennifer), Michael Bartholomew (Amanda), Tierra Harris, Kenneth Quade Jr. (Noelle), and Charles James; grandchildren, Emily Bartholomew, Savannah Bartholomew, Zaeviyon Ross, Zameir Harris, Banner Quade, Cable Quade, Iriquois Quade, and Sydney James; and siblings, William “Bill” Bartholomew, Gary Bartholomew, Danny Bartholomew, and Raymond Schaefer. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at New Life Outreach Church, 1005 Turner Road, Richmond, Virginia 23225 with Pastor Victor Torres officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
