James Burnett Jr.

James Mack Burnett Jr., 90 of Colonial Heights, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at his home. Born August 12, 1926 in Chesterfield County to the late James Mack Burnett Sr., and Mary Louise Perrow Burnett, Mr. Burnett was retired from Allied Technical Center and served in the United States Army during WWII. He was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Colonial Heights since 1936 until his health declined. He was also a member of the Colonial Heights Senior Citizens Club. Mr. Burnett is survived by his wife, Alice Arrington Burnett and a son, James "Jamie" Mack Burnett III. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Immanuel Baptist Church 620 Lafayette Ave, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Jerry Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday, September 9, 2016 from 7:00-8:30 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. The family would like to thank At Home Care Hospice and caregivers for their service and support during Mr. Burnett's illness.
