James Cabaniss

James Edward "Jim" Cabaniss, 65, of Chesterfield, VA passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016. Born in Alaska, he was the son of the late Herman Lewis and Elizabeth Spiers Cabaniss. Jim had served in the Army National Guard and had worked for J.O. Herbert Co. Inc. in Chesterfield. He is survived by one brother, Carl Cabaniss and wife, Julie of Disputanta; a sister, Kay Cabaniss also of Disputanta; his faithful companion, "P"; and many cherished friends. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
