James "Jim" H. Elliott, 84, of Disputanta, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Hopewell, Virginia on July 28, 1930 to the late Robert H. and Ellen McFarland Elliott. Mr. Elliot was a United States Army Veteran and a retired millwright from Honeywell Chesterfield. He was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Elliott was predeceased by his three sisters, Edna Langford, Lois Livesay, and Mildred Walker. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Evelyn Elliott; son, Alan Elliott and wife, Catherine; grandchildren, John Elliott and wife, Debbie, Wilma Miller and husband, Alex; sisters, Beulah Cooke and Gloria Westmoreland; brother, Paul Elliott and wife, Laura; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church, 23814 River Road, N. Dinwiddie, Virginia 23803, with the Pastor Raleigh Nunnally officiating. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at church.
