James F. Glover, 71, passed away at his home on Monday, August 14, 2017. Jim was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Hopewell, Virginia, and had served his country through 16 years of service within the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He had also been an active member of the Knights of Columbus as a District Deputy, a past Grand Knight, past Faithful Navigator, and Membership Director. Jim also loved spending time with his family, friends and his animals. He was known in his community for coaching soccer and baseball for the Chester YMCA, and he had also acted as a faithful roadie for his children and their various musical endeavors. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Lynne Seay; his sons, David Thomas Glover and his wife, Leslie, Padraic Jeremiah Glover and his wife, Candace, Gordon James Glover and his wife, Jenn, Graham Thomas Glover and his wife, Katie; grandsons, Caleb, Nic, Connor, Jasper, and Joshua Glover; granddaughter, Kayleigh Glover; his brother, Thomas J. Glover; furry four-legged children, Bear, Jackson, and Celo; six grand-dogs; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A memorial mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 in St. James Catholic Church, 510 W. Poythress Street, Hopewell, VA 23860, with Father Christopher Hess officiating. A reception will follow the service in the parish hall. Bring your favorite dish to share.
