James Kilgore

James A. Kilgore, 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at his residence. Born on November 24, 1947, he was the son of the late John Arnold and Martha Cornelious Kilgore. Mr. Kilgore was a United States Army Veteran and was a self-employed welder after his service. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy M. Kilgore; son, Billy Wayne Kilgore and wife, Shelly; and grandchildren, Tanner, Lucas, Kadance, Case and Paxton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the funeral service from 10-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Massey Cancer Center, Virginia Commonwealth University, P.O. Box 980214 Richmond, Virginia 23298-0214.
