James Lamm

James Allie Lamm, 72, of Dinwiddie County, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Dinwiddie, Virginia he was the son of the late Henry Allie Lamm and Lillian Gill Lewis; and is also preceded in death by his sister, Josephine. He is survived by three daughters, Lynn Lamm, Christy Lamm and Jami Lamm; five grandchildren, Zachary, Shaylynn, Ethan, Alyssa and Kelen; two great-grandsons; three sisters, Betty, Muriel, and Mary; two brothers, Charlie & Gerald; companion of many years, Norma Tilley; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Crater Road Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Rd., Petersburg, VA with the Rev. Bernard Tucker, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
