James Furman "Jimmy" Outlaw Jr., 53 passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. A longtime resident of Colonial Heights, and a previous employee of VDOT, Home Depot, and Walmart Distribution Center. He will be remembered as a hardworking grandfather (Pimpy), a kind hearted man and a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia S. Reese and step-father, Walter J. Reese. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Phillips Outlaw of Colonial Heights; his longtime friend Stacey Cooke, her sons Brent and Austin; his children Kellie Hardy Brekke and Kevin B. Hardy; his beloved grandchildren, Dillon, Nicolas and Ethan Brekke, Aiden Hardy and Kacie Hawkins, all of Colonial Heights; his sisters Jamie Mills and husband, Ray of Dinwiddie, Tammy Outlaw of Chester, Joy Outlaw of Dinwiddie, Cecelia Lewis and husband, Leonard and their son Brett of Colonial Heights; his brothers Ronnie Southall and Judy of Rocky Mount, Robert Reese and wife Courtney of Petersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Charles Phillips. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Casual dress, including Dallas Cowboy's attire is acceptable.
