James Schutt

James S. Schutt, Sr. James S. "Jimmy" Schutt, Sr., 86, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at The Dunlop House. Born on April 2, 1931, he was the son of the late Herman H. and Addie Chandler Schutt. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Schutt; two sisters, Edythe Martin and Hazel Davis; and a brother, Herman "Dick" Schutt. Mr. Schutt was a United States Army veteran, having proudly served his country during the Korean War. Mr. Schutt was the owner of Marathon Oil Service for 35 years, a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was an avid golfer, and a member of the Petersburg Country Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Irish C. "Faye" Schutt; a son, James S. "Jim" Schutt, Jr. and partner, James Victorino. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Highland United Methodist Church, 125 Westover Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Joe Carson officiating. Interment will follow, with military honors, in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George. The family will receive friends (tonight) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
