James Joseph (Tre') Sette III, 52 of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on June 19, 2024, after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 14, 1972, in Petersburg, VA. He was the first grandson of the late Everett and Cecil Wall. Tre' graduated from Colonial Heights High School in 1990 and furthered his education at Richard Bland College. Tre' began his 25 yearlong logistics career with Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Sutherland, VA and Pageland, SC and continued with Allen Corporation at SEC-LEE Hardware Software Integration Facility in Chester, VA. After his health started to decline, his last position was at Crossroads Chrysler Jeep Dodge and Ram. He is survived by his parents, James and Joan Sette; daughter, Haley Sette; his pride and joy grandson, Micah (Peanut) James Sette; the mother of his daughter, Danielle Pittman; and his furry companion Kona. Also, sisters, Leilani and Daryle Parker, Marie and Danny Ozmore and Angie and Chris Wilmoth. Devoted aunts Christy Bilyard (Kenny), Cindy White and Uncle Vernie (Angie). His extended Chicago family Joe, Janice, Bege and Juanita Goodyear. Lifelong friends David and Jackie Rainey and Lee Davis. Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially the Topside Lounge crew. Tre' was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 284. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and collector of football memorabilia. In his honor, we encourage you to wear your favorite football jersey or team colors. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on July 12, 2024, at Crosslight Church, 27 Seyler Drive, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 with Pastors David Wiley and Michael Buckley officiating. Family visitation will begin before the service at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been created for his grandson, Micah, through Crosslight Church. Tax deductible donations can be mailed to P.O.
