Janette Wilcox

Janette “Jan” Griffin Wilcox, 86, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.  Born on December 12, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Henry P. Griffin Sr. and Annie Ellis Griffin.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert K. Wilcox; sister, Jean Griffin Norwood; and a brother, Henry Phillips Griffin Jr.

Mrs. Wilcox was a Registered Nurse and retired from Southside Regional Medical Center in 1993.  She was a member of the Retired Nurses Association.

She is survived by her son, Stephen K. Wilcox (Brenda); her daughter, Kimberly W. Hall; grandchildren, Seth B. Wilcox (Taylor), Troy R. Hall (Arron), S. Brett Wilcox (Rachel), Madison L. Hall, Morgan J. Hall, and Griffin S. Hall; great-grandchildren, Drewry Wilcox and Scottie Hall; numerous nieces & nephews; and very special niece, Kelly Russell.  Special thanks to Hunter Duck.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2021 at the funeral home.
