Janice Moore

Janice S. Moore, 59, of Chesterfield, departed this life December 22, 2012. Born February 18, 1953 to the late William H. Stewart and Lorene R. Stewart of Colonial Heights. Janice was a loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Grandmother, yet most of all she was the greatest mother her two daughters could ever ask for. She is survived by her mother, Lorene R. Stewart and loving husband of 41 years, William "Danny" Moore; brother, William "Ronnie" Stewart and wife, Linda; daughters, Angela L. Davis and Stacy D. Riley, and their spouses Howard Davis and Christopher Riley; Granddaughter, Alanna N. Davis; many, many friends and family. Janice retired from Fort Lee after 37 years of service. She was the epitome of love and kindness, always doing what she could for others before tending to herself. In her remaining days with us, she was persistent in handing out Christmas gifts to those that brought her comfort, even if they were strangers. Her family and friends were her life, and to her family she was a HERO! A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Woods United Methodist Church, 7200 Hickory Road, S. Chesterfield with the Reverend Joe Carson officiating. Burial to follow in Woods United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
