In Loving Memory of Janice Ray Blick Drewry. Janice went to be with Jesus on August 22, 2021. Janice was born May 11, 1945, in Petersburg, Virginia to Virginia Daniel Blick and Raymond Acree Blick. She was preceded in death by a daughter Baby Girl Drewry. She grew up with a loving sister, Eva Mae Blick Peppers and graduated from Dinwiddie High School. She was married to Jimmy for 56 years. She has three sons, Danny, Jeff and Jamie, who were the light of her life!
Janice was a homemaker and hair stylist for many years. She also worked at Thalhimers Department Store and was a vendor at the Oak Antique Mall in downtown Petersburg.
She loved antiquing, scrapbooking and gardening. Janice spent many hours making her flower garden beautiful. She was a kind-hearted woman who shared her love through cooking. She was a lover of life and beauty with a loving spirit and joy to all! Her spontaneity was legendary. She loved practical jokes and was often behind family pranks. Her fun-loving spirit will be missed by all!
She is survived by her husband, Sterling James Drewry; sons, Daniel Ray Drewry and wife, Dawn Drewry, Jeffrey Neal Drewry and Lisa Hald, James Wright Drewry and wife, Christina Drewry; five beautiful grandchildren, Maddy Ronca, Virginia Paige Drewry, Raymond James Drewry, Shyanne Forrest and Joe Stanley; great-grandchildren, Carson Ronca, Owen Ronca, Joe, Jacob, Rose and Hamilton; her loving sister, Eva Mae Blick Peppers and brother-in-law, Franklin Gene Peppers; nieces and nephews, Vickie Peppers O’Day and husband, Brian T. O’Day, Karen Peppers Maer and husband, Clinton D. Maer, Michael G. Peppers and wife, Jessica K. Peppers; and many great-nieces, great-grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and many dear friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
