Jason Ashby

Jason E. Ashby, 38, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina he was the son of Carl E. Ashby and Betty Sue Hrouda. Jason was a current employee of Honeywell with 17 years of service. He is survived by his mother, Betty Sue Hrouda and husband, Bernard of Colonial Heights; his father, Carl E. Ashby of Dinwiddie; a brother, Rodney J. Ashby and wife, Heather of Glen Allen; niece and nephew, Madison and Christian Ashby; and his maternal grandmother, Arbell Holliday of Colonial Heights. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 in West End Baptist Church, 6506 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with the Reverend Dr. Carol McCann officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Flowers are welcome.
