Jason Braswell

Jason Parker Braswell, 38, of Chester, went home to Jesus on Saturday, June 15, 2019.  Jason was a graduate of LC Byrd High School and a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and loved to praise God with the choir in music.  Jason had a tremendous love for gospel music and had a collection of over 135 Bill Gaither Homecoming DVDs.  He watched them every day.

His favorite football team was the Washington Redskins (whether they won or lost!).  Some of his favorite things to do was golf and go to the driving range.   He bowled on special leagues in the fall and winter.  At home, he loved to play the Wii, watch his Gaither DVDs, and drive his golf cart in the neighborhood.  He LOVED Branches of Life Day Support where he attended Monday-Friday and so enjoyed the many outings during the week to museums, putt-putt, Dollar Store to shop, and Krispy Kreme, just to name a few.

Jason is survived by his mother, Bonnie Wesner (Bill); his father, Ralph Braswell (Kay); his brother, Trenton Braswell (Holly); and his two stepsisters, Jennifer Wicks (Chris) and Leah Wesner.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church or Branches of Life, 9856 Lori Road, Suite 100, Chesterfield, Virginia 23832.  Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
