Jason Schrum

Jason Everett Schrum, 42 of Matoaca, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020.  He was born May 31, 1977 in Richmond, Va. to Janet Marie Schrum.  In addition to his mother,  Jason is survived by his wife Jennifer Garrison Schrum; two children, Kayla Dawn Garrison and David Austin Elder; two grandchildren Zain E’len Brown and Cody Everett Canterbury; maternal grandparents, John Calvin Schrum, Sr. and Elizabeth Schrum “Bo”; aunt Donna Davis; uncle John Calvin Schrum, Jr.; three cousins, Amanda, Melissa, and Abby and numerous other loving relatives.  Jason was a hardworking husband, father, and grandfather and was loved by everyone who met him.  He cherished his time with his family and friends and would help anyone who needed it.  Jason loved his grandparents and was his granddaddy’s “right-hand-man” on the farm.  A celebration of Jason’s life will be held 2:00p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
