Jasper Davis

Jasper W. Davis, 74, of Colonial Heights passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017. Born September 13, 1942, he was the son of the late Clarence and Martha Davis, and was also preceded in death by his two brothers, John and Buck Davis; and his sister, Pearl Davis. Jasper was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. For many years, Jasper coached little league baseball, and later he enjoyed spending time with the Senior Citizens Group in Colonial Heights. He is survived by his two sons, Jamie L. Davis, and Jody A. Davis and wife, Heather; daughter, Hope Pickering and husband, Nathan; grandchildren, Rylee Davis, Nathan Pickering, Jeter Davis, Joshua Davis and Jaycee Pickering; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, 17001 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, with the Reverend Dr. Ray Haskett officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at church.
