Jay Johnson

Jay Dee Johnson, 75, of Dinwiddie passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born on January 12, 1939 to the late Jasper D. and Faye Hungate Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bunice Thomas Johnson; two sons, Jay Dee Johnson Jr. and wife, Darlene and Brian Douglas Johnson and wife, Sara; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Taylor Johnson and fiancé, Chris Morrissette, Jay Dee Johnson III, Matthew William Johnson, Kendall Loren Johnson Williams and husband, Corey, Kurtis Justin Johnson and Krystal Dawn Johnson Matlick and husband, Dale; great-grandchildren, Jaycee Dawn Matlick, Brantley Austin Matlick, and Daniel Grayson Williams; his sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marie Johnson Beville and husband, Gayle; three nieces and a nephew. A graveside will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2014 at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with the Pastor Paul Penland officiating. Following the graveside service a Luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Livingstone Baptist Church 5732 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803.
