Jean Berry

Jean L. Berry, 74, of Petersburg, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Greenfield Assisted Living of Petersburg. She was the daughter of the late James D. and Leona Thompson, and was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Berry Jr., a sister, Dorothy Steele; and two grandsons, Austin and Justin Berry. Mrs. Berry was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Petersburg. She is survived by two sons, Chris Berry of Colonial Heights, and James Berry III of Prince George; four grandchildren, Joshua Berry of Petersburg, Adam Berry and Megan Berry both of Chester, and Tiffany Berry; a brother, James Thompson of Hopewell; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
