Jean Driskill

March 29, 1931 — April 3, 2017

Barbara Jean "Fuzzy" Vaughan Driskill, 86, of Matoaca, VA passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Colonial Heights, VA, she was the daughter of the late Edward S. Vaughan, Sr. and Ethel Vaughan; and was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred V. Williams, Margaret V. Foster and Helen C. Vaughan; and one brother, Edward S. Vaughan, Jr. Jean was one of the founders and past presidents of the Matoaca Women's Club and was a charter member and former treasurer of New Hope Baptist Church in Matoaca. She had also served as a Den Mother for the Matoaca Cub Scouts. She is survived by her loving husband, S. Phil Driskill, Jr.; two sons, Phillip Driskill, III and wife, Sharon, and Eric Driskill and wife, Marie; four grandchildren, Bo Driskill and wife, Dawn, Mandy Hendershott and husband, Zak, Spencer, and Nathan Driskill; four great-grandchildren, Nya and Bryce Driskill and Colby and Landon Hendershott; nieces and nephews, Robert Vaughan, Kay Boykin, Randy Foster, and Edward "Bubber" Williams; and a cousin, Allen Saunders. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017, at New Hope Baptist Church, 6030 Woodpecker Rd., Chesterfield, VA 23838 with the Rev. John L. Sullivan and Pastor Vern Gilmer, officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Cox Rd., Suite 130, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com
