Jean Price Long, 61, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 surrounded by her family. Born November 22, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Truman and Charlotte Long. Jean received a Master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and went on to be an educator for Chesterfield County School Systems, where she retired after many years. After retiring, she continued teaching with Omega Learning Center in Chesterfield. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends, who brought her happiness throughout life. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard L. Pinkleton; stepson, Chris Pinkleton; brothers, William Long and Jay Long; sisters, Suzanne Buchko and Joan Forrer; numerous nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends. To all those who knew and loved Jean, when you think of her, smile, as she always had a smile to give to those around her. Services for Mrs. Long will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, or the Museum of the Confederacy.
