Jeanne S. Rainey, 68, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at her residence. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Albert D. and Helen Townsend Seymour. Ms. Rainey retired with 37 years of service as a Housing Specialist with Fort Lee Civil Service, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Fifty and Better Club. She is survived by three daughters, Pamela Wade and husband, Keith; Jennifer Keppler and husband, Justin; Kelly Kilbourne and husband, Matt; two sons, Dennis Rainey Jr. and David Rainey and wife, Jackie; grandchildren, Clint, Dale, Tiffany, Josh, Hannah, Caleb, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Jake, Gracie, Amelia, Madison, and Abby; great-grandson, Josh Jr.; sisters, Judy Davis and Jana Bryant; brothers, Jeff and Johnny Seymour; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Frances Lee and Linda Hass. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 620 Lafayette Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Fred Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, National Processing Center, PO Box 1245, Albert Lea, Minnesota 56007-9976.
