Jeannette C. Sutton, 78, of Colonial Heights, relieved of her burdens of cancer and went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, surrounded at home by loved ones and friends who adored her. Mrs. Sutton worked for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company for over 20 years. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jenny Lasher (Billy); sons, David Sutton Jr. and Alvin Coward; special grandson, Cody; grandchildren, Aaron and Jessie; and two great-grandsons; special niece, Luray Stell and special nephew, Ed Cox. The family would also like to thank Nurse Kathy Tollison of Hospice for her loving support. Jeannette was a loving mother, special friend to many and caregiver for Kenny Davidson. She will be missed by many. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 with the Reverend Dr. Ray Haskett officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
