Jennifer Bailey

Jennifer Nicole Bailey, 19, of Prince George died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by a sister, Brittney Renee Bailey; grandfathers, Weaver D. Davis and Douglas M. Bailey, Sr.; great-grandmother, Sarah H. Gay and great-grandfather, James E. Gay, Sr. Miss Bailey was a member of Second Baptist Church in Petersburg, a 2007 graduate of Prince George High School and a student at Richard Bland College where she participated with the Student Ambassadors. Miss Bailey was an avid reader, writer of poetry and short stories. Jennifer was proud of her Irish heritage and the family has asked family and friends to wear green in her honor. She is survived by her parents, Sharon L. and Douglas M. Bailey, Jr.; sister, Stephanie L. Bailey; grandmother, Emma G. Davis; aunt, Lori P. Rhodes and her sons, Joshua & Zachary Rhodes; great aunts and uncles, James E. Jr. & Connie Gay, W. Gary & Patricia Gay, Robert A. Gay & Ada Bienfeld, D. Ricky & Lillian Gay, and Peggy G. & John Faulkner; numerous other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Joseph T. Lewis officiating. Interment Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
