Jerry Brooks

Jerry Brooks, 76, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Born on December 10, 1942, he was the son of the late William and Blanche Davis Brooks, and was preceded in death by a son, Lee Lee; a brother, Paul Brooks; and a sister, Mary Barnes. Mr. Brooks was a United States Army veteran, a member of the Petersburg Eagles, and a retired musician with the Roulette Band.
He is survived by his wife, June Millard Brooks; son, Jerry Vanatta; daughters, Dawn Stone (Michael) and Jerica Taft (Phillip); grandchildren, Kristian Hill, Heaven Stone, Phillip Taft Jr., Patrick Taft, Alahnna and Arianna Taft; brothers, David and Gene Brooks; sister, Jackie Flowers; special niece, Brettany Patsel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
