Jerry Wayne Burcham, Sr. of Colonial Heights passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his residence. Born January 19, 1940, he was the son of the late Albert and Guida Burcham. Jerry was a member of the Hopewell Moose Lodge # 148, American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 1399 and former member of the Fort Powhatan Hunt Club in Prince George. He was a veteran of the National Guard. Jerry worked for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company, the Colonial Heights Police Department, and was the Maintenance Manager for Holiday Inn, River Stone and Lincoln Properties, ending his working career as self-employed. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra O. Burcham; two sons, Jerry W. Burcham Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Prince George and Kevin D. Burcham and his wife Kimberley of Midlothian; a grandson, Colby Burcham and a step-granddaughter, Brittany Benson; two brothers, Gordon Burcham and Harold Burcham, Along with numerous cousins, nephews and nieces, and by beloved grand dogs, Pup and Sadie. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory 2033 Boulevard 23834 with the Reverend David Prather officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
