Jerry Thomas Sr.

Jerry Paul Thomas Sr. 83, of Colonial Heights, died on August 1, 2016. Born on January 14, 1933, he was the son of the late Curtis Oscar and Ruth Elizabeth Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite mason with Albert Pike Memorial Temple of Little Rock, Arkansas, a member of Em Lodge No. 363, Fordyce, Arkansas, Free and Accepted Masons and a member of Acca Shrine Temple, Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Thomas served in the U. S. Army from 1953-1956. He retired from the Defense General Supply Center. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Royall Thomas; son, Jerry Paul Thomas Jr. and grandsons, Joshua Paul Thomas and Jacob Paul Thomas. He is also survived by sons, John C. Thomas, James A. Thomas, William R. Thomas and a daughter, Linda L. Thomas of Missouri. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday from 3-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
