Jerry West

Jerry K. West, 44, of Hopewell, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 18, 2010, after a period of declining health. He was a real estate broker and co-owner of Barber & West Realty, Inc. He was a long time member of Chester Church of God where he served as pianist. He is survived by his parents, Earl and Marie West; two brothers and their families, Bobby, Wanda, Trey and Courtney West, and Cliff, Angie Travis, Leneé and Troy West, all of Prince George, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 in the Chester Church of God, 4700 Lee Street, Chester, Virginia 23831 with Pastor J. R. DeHart officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
