Jesse B. Beasley, 77, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Beasley was born in Johnson County, North Carolina to the late Resters A. and Ava Stout Beasley. Mr. Beasley was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Colonial Heights Ward. He retired from Frito Lay after 35 years, and then worked for Utz Potato Chips for 12 years. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Norma W. Beasley; two sons, Jesse B. Beasley Jr. and wife, Ricki Huff of Dayton, Ohio and Kevin T. Wilson and wife, Kristina E. Wilson of Chesterfield; three daughters, Karen Gail Hall of Utah, Jennifer Dawn Avery and husband, Jason L. Avery of Utah, and Lorri A. Hudson and husband, Roland E. Hudson of Colonial Heights; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, David Lloyd Beasley of Danville; and a sister, Mary B. Swan of Lynchburg. Jesse was a trusted and respected friend by all those who knew him. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 1, 2010 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the service.
