Joan Powers

Joan Powers, 62, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Petersburg, Virginia to the late Marbille L. and Pearl Snowden Berry. Mrs. Powers was a member of the Living Word World Outreach Center, Colonial Heights. She is survived by her loving sons, Edward A. Berry and wife, Kathryn of Midlothian and Jason R. Powers of Colonial Heights; three grandchildren, Liam Eric Christian Berry, Thomas Cole Berry, and Frances Lane Berry; five sisters and three brothers, Lorraine, Karen, Billy Jean, Deborah, Holly, Billy, Tommy and Tony; and her loving companion Gary Gray. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. Flowers welcome.
