JoAnn Berry Rayfield, 69, of Colonial Heights passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Born December 15, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Josephine Berry, and was also preceded in death by her son, Morris Hudgins. She was a lifetime member at Trinity United Methodist in Petersburg. JoAnn dedicated her life to her family, raising her son and daughter. She was a member of the Moose Lodges of the Tri-City area, Hopewell-Prince George Civitan, and was a past member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, William Carpenter Rayfield, Jr.; daughter, Nicole Garrett and husband, Andrew; step-daughters, Stephanie Gonzalez and husband, Chris, Bettina Rayfield; six grandchildren, Oli Gonzalez, Rebecca Gonzalez, Madison Hudgins, Lauren Hudgins, Andrew Garrett, Emily Hudgins; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hudgins; brother, Morris Berry; and other extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Trinity United Methodist, 215 S Sycamore St, Petersburg, VA 23803. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the church.
