Jodie Susanne Linkous, 43, of Prince George, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2018. She was born March 25, 1975 in Hopewell, Virginia to John and Helen Roop Linkous. Jodie is survived by her husband, Jessie Simon Fleshman; daughter, Angel Leath; three grandchildren, Marleigh Everett, Britnee Farmer and Jackson Farmer; sister, Jill Thompson (Kevin); niece, Kirstyn Nicole Thompson; nephew, Zachary Scott Thompson; longtime pet and companion, Baxter; and many loving relatives and friends. Jodie was an art teacher for 20 years at Oakland Elementary School in Suffolk, Va. She was the president of the Tidewater Art Association. She was actively involved in the March of Dimes. She was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Disputanta, Va. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Crater Road Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 where a memorial ceremony will be held 5:00 pm Friday, August 24, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jodie Linkous Artz Lady Memorial Scholarship, c/o John Randolph Foundation, P.O.
