John Allen

John F. Allen, 54, of Chesterfield, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at his residence. Born in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Arthur M. (Dick) Allen and Elsie Sheldon Allen. He is survived by his wife, Susan Harrington Allen; a son, Stephen Ryan Allen; a daughter, Angela Nicole Allen; a brother, Larry Allen of Texas; a sister, Brenda A. Sutter of Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Parkway, Bldg 4, Richmond, Virginia 23227 or Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
