John Baxter

John Herbert Baxter, 91, of Colonial Heights, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 31, 1924 to the late Herbert A. Baxter and Katie Ines Slaughter Baxter and was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte P. Baxter, his daughter Lorilee Baxter, his brother Harvey Jones Baxter, and a sister Dorothy Baxter Wells. Mr. Baxter was a WWII United States Army Veteran and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He is survived by a brother Robert L. Baxter of Dinwiddie, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road S. Prince George, Virginia 23805, with Pastor Pamela Culler officiating.
